In the mountains with Corona

April 26, 2016 in Behind The Scenes

Whistler, BC

I often get approached from brands to shoot their products and post them on my Instagram account. Most of the time I deny opportunities, mostly because I am a photographer, not an Instagrammer. That said, when Corona approached me to shoot for their new campaign promoting finding your beach in the winter time, I was intrigued.  It wasn't until they hit my soft spot and told me that we'd be flying in a helicopter, when I gladly accepted the gig.

I had the pleasure of calling up one of my best friends and my girlfriend to say: "Hey, do you want to join on a free trip to Whistler? We'll cover food, hotel, snowboarding... oh and you can come in the helicopter."

So the three of us drove up to Whistler and were greeted at our hotel with a bucket of cold Coronas and some lift passes to Whistler Blackcomb. Corona made sure to really cater our experience both on the mountain and our après-ski.

After our day of snowboarding, we took the gondola up to Roundhouse Lodge, where the helicopter was waiting for us...

Our crew took off from Roundhouse, and headed North to a peak on Rainbow Glacier. We landed and took in the panoramic views that surrounded the mountain top before settling down into some beach chairs that overlooked the mountain range below. It was a good time to crack a beer.
